Isabelle Alessandra, Ed.D.
Dr. Isabelle Alessandra, a leadership and teaching strategies expert, works closely with Head Start management teams, supervisors, coordinators, teachers, and parents to develop their leadership skills, fine-tune their management styles, and improve all aspects of program performance. She is also masterful in working with Head Start teachers and program aides to help ensure an exceptionally high quality of early childhood teaching and learning.
Enriched by over 25 years of experience, Dr. Alessandra has a firm grasp on the challenges related to coaching, teaching and leading others. Before becoming a consultant, she served as an early childhood teacher and principal in the public sector, as a co-designer and assistant lecturer of an award winning leadership course at USC, and as director of two large national education reform organizations. Her many years of focused practice in Head Start programs has resulted in a comprehensive menu of services that specifically address the unique demands on Head Start staff and the families they serve. Kristen Hayes
Kristen Hayes is a Management Consultant and advocate of high-quality programming for children and families. With 10 years experience in program implementation and public policy formation, she has worked with organizations across the country to secure grant funding through two Federal departments, and helped grantees effectively utilize funds to meet required outcomes. Most recently, Kristen was a Senior Program Specialist with the Office of Head Start, Region IX in San Francisco, California. In addition to managing grants funding to Head Start agencies, she supported ACF's ongoing quality improvement efforts as a team leader for onsite compliance reviews, and as Region IX's staff lead for risk assessment. Prior to joining ACF, Kristen was a Policy Analyst with the U.S. Department of Education (ED), Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools, in Washington, DC, where she lead the implementation of a school choice provision and was heavily involved in the agency's discretionary grant process.
As a technical advisor and compliance expert, Kristen works with agencies that want or need to improve their management systems to maximize efficiency of human and financial resources. Her goal is to identify the root cause of the issue, develop solutions, and work towards sustainable correction. In addition, Kristen is offering grant writing and grant review services for organizations in need of foundation and Federal funds to support programming for children.

Teresa Alonso Landeros
Ms. Teresa Alonso Landeros is currently adjunct faculty at California State University in Fullerton, CA and Mount San Antonio College in Walnut, CA. She teaches Child, Adolescent and Adult Development, Research Methods and ECE curriculum courses. She is also the founder of A+ Parenting, offering parent education services, staff development, keynote addresses, motivational speaking, and customized trainings/workshops to local school districts and programs.
Teresa has worked as a preschool teacher for both the private and public sector. She has also worked with at-risk adolescents, providing remedial classes in English and Math. She has worked as a parent educator and teacher trainer for both LA and Orange County districts. Frank Lorah
Frank Lorah is a certified training consultant in most areas of Program Design & Management (PDM) and Fiscal Management and has provided trainings and technical assistance to grantees and delegate agencies throughout the country. Carola Matera, Ph.D.
Dr. Carola Matera provides early childhood consulting services to support programs in implementing and delivering quality educational services to young Head Start children and their families. She specializes in early learning and effective teaching practices for young children who are dual language learners. In order to accomplish this, Carola assists programs in preparing culturally responsive teachers and addressing dual language learning focusing on program policies and a systemic approach for instruction.
Previously, Carola worked as a training and technical assistance provider with Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Project at the Academy for Educational Development in Washington, D.C. Dr. Roseann Rinear has been a professor of Child Development and leadership for over seventeen years. She is a member of the High/Scope Institute for Child Development Research in the United States. Dr. Roseann worked for Head Start for three years supervising both child and parent education and is well known as an effective and entertaining trainer for all three San Diego County Head Start agencies.
Dr. Roseann Rinear is proud to have three associates who are experts in Head Start. Gene Merlino has spent twenty one years in Head Start and can train or advise in any area.
