EHS Home Visitor-Expectant Families
Under the direction of the Program Manager, and under the supervision of the Site Supervisor, the Early Head Start Home Visitor for Expectant Families, is responsible for the overall implementation of an integrated, family focused, home based program serving pregnant women, post-partum women and their families.

Who we are looking for:
£ Someone who has, at minimum, a Home Based CDA or a comparable credential or equivalent coursework in Early Childhood Education, Social work or health care. Units in infant-toddler and knowledge of health topic related to prenatal and postnatal issues desired.
£ Knowledge of infant toddler development, family interaction and community resources desired.
£ A minimum of two years related work experience working with diverse low-income families preferred.
£ Demonstrated ability to create and maintain healthy boundaries with clients
£ Problem solving and conflict resolution skills
£ Basic computer skills required
£ Strong English skills both oral and written form required
£ Bi-lingual English/Spanish required
£ Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards preferred
£ Time management skills
£ Hold a valid California driver’s license and Evidence of reliable insured transportation
£ Obtain a Criminal Record Clearance with current Child Abuse Index Check on file with Community Care Licensing.
£ Successfully complete an employment physical and provide proof of the absence of TB within 7 days of hire date.
£ Physical agility to lift and carry objects up to 25 pounds.
£ Gross Motor physical ability to bend, stoop, walk, reach overhead, push, pull, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, and turn.
£ Fine Motor physical ability to grasp, pull, twist, and grip
