Quality Systems Health and Safety Maintenance Associate
Under general supervision, assist with the promotion and implementation of agency wide health, safety and emergency preparedness practices to ensure: the safety of children at all times; safe work environments for staff; and agency compliance with all federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations. Perform a wide variety of general maintenance and repair activities at grantee and delegate agencies to support healthy and safe environments.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Experience: Minimum 1 year custodian or maintenance experience. Must have moderate knowledge of equipment, materials, methods, and procedures used in maintenance; knowledge of safety principles and practices, and federal, state, and local standards and regulations; ability to read and write at a level indicative of successful performance and interpret warning labels, directions, instructions; ability to effectively follow oral and written directions; basic understanding of mathematics principles and calculations; ability to take accurate measurements; ability to safely and effectively use hand and power tools; basic computer skills, including the ability to use word processing, data base software and email; ability to work in a team environment. Must have a valid California driver's license and proof of insurance for driving to centers, meetings and training venues.
This position is full-time with a hourly rate of $17.00 - $18.00 an hour plus outstanding benefits and a generous retirement plan. Candidate must be willing to work after-hours and on weekends on occasion to support Agency needs.
