Under the supervision of the Director or designee, the Head Start Home Visitor is responsible for the overall implementation of an integrated, family focused, home based program serving families with children 3 to 5 years of age.
This position is distinguished by employment being determined by the Policy Council for the portion paid with Head Start Funds. Continued operation of the Head Start Program and employment of staff is dependent on the availability of federal funding.
A combination of formal education, life experience, and work experience at a level to demonstrate the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described.
- An Associate of Arts or Bachelor's Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field
- A valid Child Development Permit
- A minimum of three years recent experience in Care and Education Programs
- Knowledge of child development, family interaction, and community resources
- **Spanish Bilingual - 5% Differential with demonstrated proficiency**
