      I.         SUMMARY OF DUTIES

The incumbent is responsible for accurately gathering, tracking, recording, and compiling data entry that pertains to children/families enrolled in our program. Responsible for the management of computerized information, central file system, and reports related to family/child services.


  • Responsible for data entry of component information through the database systems that maintain child/family information.
  • Works under direction of MH & Disabilities Coordinator to support department compliance and services
  • Assist as needed with reception coverage and/or substitute dispatch support
  • Ensure information of children are accurately tracked, recorded, and stored through the ChildPlus Data Base System and paper files
  • Maintains accurate child files, reconciles with web-based software and programs
  • Tracks referrals and ensures the submission of referrals to LEAs and LAUSD, MH agencies
  • Provide required data and lists related to program information to internal sources/departments
  • Provide relevant information to managers for MDT, MTSS, IEP or other meetings
  • Run and review reports for accuracy, monthly, and on-going, including PIR
  • Support screenings- ASQ 3, ASQ SE, DECA, and ESP



Education: High School Diploma

Experience: One-year experience working as a Data Entry Clerk or Administrative Assistant in an office environment.


Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and a Database System
  • Knowledge in ChildPlus is a plus

Medical Examination: Must submit a medical examination demonstrating capability to perform type of work required and must submit a tuberculin skin test or chest x-ray. Proof of the following immunizations: Influenza, Pertussis TDAP (Whooping Cough), and Measles (MMR).


Fingerprint Clearances: All potential employees will be subject to obtain fingerprint clearances from the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Child Abuse Central Index, and Megan’s law prior to starting work.


Other Special Requirement: Must have the use of an automobile with adequate insurance coverage and a valid California driver’s license, or have available transportation.
