EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
? Directly supervises mentors and coaches a caseload of 4-6 Center-based Site Supervisors. Plans and facilitates regular Site Supervisor meetings.
Ensures that all Site Supervisors conduct formal performance evaluations and prepare performance growth plans according to the performance
management evaluation guidelines for Teachers and Assistant Teachers.
? In partnership with Site Supervisors and Human Resources Manager investigate, address, monitor, document and ensure resolution of employee
relations issues and parent concerns in a timely manner. Monitor the classroom environment by utilizing the ECERS, CLASS, QCIT as appropriate.
Monitor the lesson plan completion and curriculum implementation.
? Monitors all service delivery activities on a regular basis to ensure timeliness, accuracy, integration of services, compliance with Head Start, Early Head
Start, State Preschool and Performance Standards. Works closely with Content Area Managers and Site Supervisors to plan, coordinate, and
implement various program activities, i.e. Family Orientation, Pre-Service, Week of the Young Child, etc.
? Record, investigate, report and address classroom incidents related to child accidents. Review and consult with Site Supervisors on all Child Accident,
CPS and Unusual Incident Reports. Attends Multi-Disciplinary Team Meetings and IEP meetings when needed.
? Assists staff involving parents in program activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
? Bachelor or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or in a closely related field with core ECE units and 3 units in
administration.
? Minimum three (2) years of teaching experience in a licensed day care center.
? Minimum one (2) years of supervisory experience in a licensed day care center or related industry, have administration or staff relations experience
? Knowledge of planning, organization and direction of procedural guidelines related to child development programs and state preschool requirements.
? Knowledge of principles and practices of administration, supervision and training.
? Ability to maintain current knowledge of applicable provisions of federal, state rules and Title 22 regulations.
? Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
? Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
? Ability to maintain a cooperative and professional working relationship with staff, parents and other public agency personnel.
? Ability to direct the maintenance of a variety of reports and files related to assigned activities.
Experience with, or knowledge of, issues pertaining to low-income and diverse populations.
? Valid California driver’s license, current automobile insurance and ability to travel frequently to site locations
