Colusa County Office of Education is recruiting for a Behavior Technician who can assist in the supervision and instruction of special education students in a variety of settings; assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of behavior intervention programs for identified special education students; attend student progress meetings; assist student with and demonstrate proper physical care and hygiene; other duties as assigned.

SALARY:
$26.28 - $30.74 per hour
HOURS/DAYS:
7 hours per day, 212 days per year

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum two years working in an educational environment, Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) clinic and/or home program setting supporting student
development
- Meet Title I Paraprofessional requirement: high school diploma or the equivalent, and two (2) years college coursework (48 units); or Associate’s degree or higher; or pass local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in
instruction.
LICENSES & REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic First Aid and valid CPR certificate issued by an authorized agency
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) certificate (must successfully complete within three months of hire and maintain annual recertification.)
- Registered Behavior Technician Certification (or willing to obtain and maintain Registrations as Behavior Technician within the first six (6) months of hire.
- The successful candidate will be required to provide DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearance, TB test clearance, COVID-19 vaccination verification (or program-required equivalent), a valid California driver’s license, and disclosure of CA-DMV Driver Record (INF-1125) current following acceptance of job offer.
