Head Start - Site Supervisor
What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a Site Supervisor, under the direction of the Early Childhood Education Coordinator that is responsible for supervision and oversight of the operations of one Head Start center, assuring regulatory and legal compliance with federal, state and local regulations; communicating with parents and community; supervision, monitoring and training of all Center staff; monitoring compliance in all aspects of Head Start Performance Standards, Child Care Licensing, and State of California Preschool program regulations.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor's Degree with a major in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field. Masters degree preferred.
- Must have Child Development Site Supervisor Permit. CLASS certification preferred.
- Successfully completed and maintain Basic First Aid and CPR certification.
- Minimum of two (2) years administrative experience in a child development program is required.
- Must have strong supervisory, leadership and communication skills; experience in conflict resolution.
- Minimum of two (2) years direct experience as a Teacher working with young children, 3-5 years experience in a preschool setting, with culturally and ethnically diverse population.
