As the Lead Case Manager you will play a crucial role in recruiting families, particularly males/fathers, from enrolled Family and Community Support Services (FCSS), Migrant & Seasonal Head Start, Regional Head Start, and Early Head Start programs to participate in our Positive Opportunities for Parenting Success (POPS) Father Engagement Program.
We would love to hear from someone who:
- Has a bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.
- Has two years’ experience in human services.
- Has a valid CA Driver’s License.
As the Lead Case Manager, you will:
- Recruit families of enrolled children, into the Father Engagement program by attending parent meetings and activities.
- Engage and assist out-of-county staff in the active recruitment strategies for families and best practice activities for the program.
- Develop, lead, and facilitate Father Engagement groups, activities, and events (forums) in various counties.
- Mentor families toward expanding the Father Engagement program through encouraging mentoring of other males/fathers, facilitation of groups, and recruiting other males/fathers into the program.
- Assist in conducting an annual agency-wide father friendly assessment, compiles and analyzes results of assessment while working with individual departments.
- Assist in planning and implementing workshops, trainings, and father activities for families.
- Monitor and track the status and progress of Father Engagement participants and assists with any problems that arise.
- Compiles records and prepares reports to be submitted to the FCSS Director.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age by date of hire.
- Must submit proof of current vaccination status for measles, pertussis, and influenza (or a current, signed influenza declination form) in compliance with SB 792.
- Must comply with the CAPSLO COVID-19 Vaccination Policy, either being fully vaccinated or sign a COVID-19 vaccination declination form.
- Must complete a health screening physical completed within 30 days prior to employment and a current TB skin test/Chest X-Ray.
- Employment is contingent upon meeting all job requirements and background requirements: criminal history check (Inclusive of DOJ, FBI and Child Abuse), acknowledgement of child abuse reporting responsibility, criminal record statement (Form LIC508), etc. A criminal history clearance is required prior to employment.
- Upon hire agency staff will check the Megan’s Law (or the current sexual predator website) to ensure each staff being hired is clear for employment. Program administrative staff will check the website annually to ensure all program staff are cleared to work.
- Must meet the Head Start Performance Standards and State requirements.
- Employment in Head Start, Early Head Start and Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Programs is contingent upon approval of the Policy Council.
